The bass in coconut milk was very, very tasty. Their menu is a little bit overwhelming, it has too many options, but went with the special of the day and I was not disappointed. I went to lunch with a colleague. The place was fairly empty, but the food was just delicious. Our sever was attentive and professional. Will definitely come back

Saigon Paris is a French and Vietnamese restaurant located across the street from the Bell Tower Shops. We came here for an early weekday dinner with our kid and it was delicious! The Saigon platter was very tasty. (Check out the picture I posted) It came with noodles, a small amount of chicken and pork, 2 shrimp and 2 egg rolls. Yum! I also tried the chicken Veronique. It was definitely heavier than my dish, but also delicious. The dishes are pretty overpriced, even for this Miamian. My meal was more like a $14 dish, not $22. Service was prompt and friendly. Plenty of parking available in the shopping center parking lot.

Still one of Ft Myers best restaurants. The food is amazing. I've tried a dozen or more menu offerings and never been less than astonished with how good the food is here.

There is a French menu and a Vietnamese menu at Saigon Paris Bistro. I ordered something from the French menu, the Chicken Veronique, while my wife ordered the Saigon Platter. Both dishes were very good, but also overpriced for what they were, at $17 and $22 respectively. Although the quality of the underlying ingredients is questionable, the champagne sauce on my chicken was tremendous. I smothered it on everything on my plate until there was nothing left, an irresistible impulse, I assure you, and one that made it not the lightest of meals. The chicken was tender and the perfect complement to the champagne sauce. The vegetables on the plate were soggy and sad, but I drenched them in champagne sauce and forgot all about that, for a time at least. The service was incredibly friendly. But it is difficult to overlook the feeling that you are being had at Saigon Bistro, since the quality of food, although good, does not justify its relatively high price. I think Fort Myers is on to that, since the restaurant was empty the entire time we were there (from 6:30 to 7:30), while the bistro next door seemed to be thriving. Additionally, the interior decor of the restaurant is in desperate need of a remodeling and renovation. It is old, cheesy, and theme-y. Overall, it was a nice experience, but I'm not sure I'll be back. There are better deals for better food elsewhere.

Descent Asian Noodle Soup, average Curry, below average service and wait time on lunch.

I was surprised by the size of this restaurant - the interior is quite large! At lunch on a weekday, we were some of the only people. Our server was extremely personable and quite knowledgeable about the extensive lunch menu. However, I didn't like how long it took to have our orders taken, waters refilled, or the bill to arrive. Surprisingly the food came out very soon after ordering, but that was probably the only speedy part of the experience. I usually make it a point to order Vietnamese dishes at Vietnamese restaurants, but the special sounded like it was exactly what I was in the mood for (my parents ordered the traditional dishes, so I planned to taste them anyway). The special was a fresh and tasty grouper sandwich. At least 2 inches of grouper hung off either side of the large sandwich, and I highly enjoyed the cornflake batter - it was not too heavy yet was very crispy. Unfortunately, I was not very impressed by the accompanying coleslaw nor the pasta salad. The slaw was a watery, pinkish mound that was too tangy with a strange, sour, biting aftertaste. The pasta salad was okay, but it was on the dry side and the flavors were nothing to write home about. The parents' Vietnamese dishes were pretty good, though my dad's Com Tam could have been a little more "broken," but the flavors were all there. Prices seemed fair. I'd give Saigon Paris Bistro another shot if I'm back in the area.

It's unusual to see French and Vietnamese on one menu but the food was absolutely delicious. The lunch menu has a lot to offer and it's reasonably priced. Two entrees and drinks for less than $30. Service was on point and fast.

Incredible restaurant! The pho is amazing, we've had the chicken, beef and Huey and all are extremely good. Summer rolls have an amazing peanut sauce. Service is great and they do take out too! Creme brûlée is incredible as well!

Went in for breakfast. The Spinach omelet was alright albeit a little under cooked (a fail for some) and having lousy coffee. The price was fair for the plate served, it is breakfast after all. The service was great. All around a pretty basic breakfast experience at a pretty basic place. Totally fine with me.

Simply said: "The best Pho I've ever had in Fort Myers, Florida" if you were going to die, and you had one wish that could be fulfilled . Don't be selfish and wish for more life. Wish that the exquisite broth of be poured into your gullet with the force of a flushing of septic tank.

Thank you Yelpers for sending me here. As an experienced Beef Pho diner let me say: Broth was above average/Beef tender/ Noodles were oh-kay. I'd skip the summer rolls. One nice thing, give you a decent brand of fish sauce on the table to douse your food.

I want to give this place an additional star, but I just can't bring myself to do it for some reason. We eat at a lot of Vietnamese restaurants, and this is one of the more unusual. The food is usually good, and we like the Pho. But the atmosphere is a little too . . . . I'm not sure what, but it does not quite have the right "feel" to it. But, if you are new to Vietnamese food, this is a good option as it feels more like a Perkins than a Saigon Bistro in Paris. My only real complaint is that the food sometimes takes forever to arrive.

This was my second time here. I wanted to give it another chance since my first time was pretty disappointing. It was the same experience both times with a different server. Unless you have 2 hours to spend on lunch and a lot of patience; don't come here. The food is mediocre. The service is almost non existent. They need more servers with better training and, cooks with efficient systems in place. It took 30+ minutes to get spring rolls, 60+ minutes for Pho. Their lemonade is made from powder, Countrytime. Seriously. Not once did our server refresh our water. We got up and asked the hostess for the water. Another table next to us had asked for the sauces that you put in Pho.. Server never went back so she got up and found them on another empty table. All three tables around us had to get up and find out where their food was since it had been 45 minutes for just their one appetizer. I really wanted to like Saigon Paris Bistro and have it be my new favorite Pho place but, it's only worth going to if I was extremely desperate for pho and every other place was closed.

Stopped in for breakfast at 11 am. Was able to get table right of way. Menu is nice with fair prices and good food. Breakfast portion slightly small for price and food wasn't very hot when arrived at table. We would definitely try again. Suggestion to owners- clean up all the potted plants, patio area top to bottom needs a good pressure washing and bathrooms need a bit more detailing. Locals who care.

Very nice wait staff, excellent food, generous drinks. Best spring rolls we've ever had! Good selection, nice early bird menu too! Fiance not a fan of sauces in general, so I thought they were really good, especially after I couldn't stop dipping.

My go to spot as there's not much places around here. Price is decent. Not as much meat but it's ok. Broth is better then the spot in north Naples & Cape Coral. I'm sure they'll step up their game if there was more pho restaurant nearby. Their bun bo hue is good too

Absolutely the worst service ever!!!! Party of 5 seated after confusion at the front. Finally got 1/2 cups of coffee, no order taken for a long time. Complained several times and finally got a waitress. Owner/manager was absolutely clueless. The waitress was wonderful and definitely overworked. She should be managing the place. Food was good.

  • Faith N.

The food was all yummy but the service leaves much to be desired. We will start with the positive- all of the food was delicious. The grape leave wrapped beef, Hanoi noodles, and quiche were awesome! The Vietnamese coffee was unusual and delightful. The service however...my husband said,"the effort earned a 20%tip, the outcome of the effort earned her nothing." It was nearly 30minutes before we received out drinks, the server ran between the tables and server station like a chicken with its head recently chopped off, it took forever to take our order and another forever to receive it, we found a wire in my husband's dish which she ignored and compared to fibers on sprouts, when they were out of the cup of soup that comes with the meal she said it was complementary anyways, the art of pre-bussing a table was lost on her, and our entire meal took nearly 2 hours--at lunch time. In the end-- order out so you don't have to deal with the service and check your meal for foreign objects.

  • Sophia N.

I usually get the beef pho and it's such a big portion for about 10$ which is not bad at all. Definitely fills you up! Their Vietnamese coffee is very strong and tasty, must try! The atmosphere is great, feels like you're in a cafe somewhere foreign. I usually get the Asian lady as my server and she is very friendly and helpful whenever I don't know what to get. If you come for lunch try to make it before 2 because they close after to set up for dinner.

Excellent beef pho and Vietnamese iced coffee. Comparable to the pho I've had on Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City. Very authentic. I'll be back just for these two items. Also the shrimp bisque, French onion soup, and fettucini Alfredo was amazing (said my girlfriend). Service was a little on the slow side but the food was well worth it, and our server Diane was very nice.

Everyone raves about the PHO... But I didn't have it tonight. The table next to us ordered a dish that was cooked table side. That was entertaining, except our server was cooking the food for the party. We sat 20 minuets watching her cook without food or drinks. No vents in the dining room, so we got to smell like dinner for no charge. Ok, no big deal... Server brought wrong app, totally missed it. Ordered the spicy duck... Came out raw. I know duck is a little different color and texture. When the server finally came back, she asked right away of I wanted it cooked more. Attentive huh? Too bad she didn't look at it quacking before she served it. My date ordered a salad, looked just like it came from a bag at Walmart. Oh, don't forget the pan seared lat piece of salmon from Wally world too. I won't be back....

The following review was written over a year ago, but I never finished and published it!!!!! Please keep reading to the end for the update: 2011 - We love the Pho here but detest the fact that it takes FOREVER to get food out of the kitchen!!! We have rarely been to this restaurant where food was served in a timely manner. For a place that is not that busy, the service is horrendous. It's a bad sign when there is no one at the hostess stand and you have to seek someone out to be seated!! If you have the time and patience, the Vietnamese food is the best choice! 2013 - If you're a Pho fan, you must try this place! Even when my 9-yr old was younger and wouldn't eat anything that wasn't shaped like a cartoon character, she loved Pho! We all love it now, and I must admit that I rarely order anything else on the menu, even though my husband says the omelettes are great! Service here has improved so dramatically that our days of tossing a coin to see if we'd get fed up and leave before our food arrived are over. The ladies (and I speak of the dynamic duo, which you will know right away if you go on a Sunday afternoon) that get things done have changed this place for the better. And the Pho is so delicious that even when the service was lousy, we still suffered it gladly!

The coconut curry is to die for. If you think it tastes like the typical turmeric flavored curry you will be wrong. Not too sweet. And the heat after a moment or two is just right. I had the sea bass wrapped in banana leaf. It was outstanding. Tender and moist. My friend had an outstanding piece of prime rib. I went here because John D had given it such a great review. He did a great job in letting us know just how good the food is here. I have not gone for breakfast yet, so I cant comment on those prices and the quality, but if the food is anything like dinner I will be a fan. Our server was wonderful and our wine was fantastic. I would give this place 4.5 stars but thats not an option.

We went tonight based mostly on the strong recommendation of friends. The reviews here seemed to be extremely positive regarding the food, but very mixed about the service, so we lowered our expectations in that regard. No need to, though. Service (namely, "Diane") was outstanding. I'd like for the folks who run the restaurant to know. I hope they're reading these reviews. (They certainly should be!) Oh, and by the way? The food was awesome, as promised.

Easily one of our favorite places to grab lunch in the area. Great atmosphere, friendly waiting staff, and a great selection of Vietnamese food. As for the French selection I enjoyed their crepes very much, but do not count myself as a French food aficionado, so keep that in mind. But back to the Vietnamese food! The pho is fantastic! Which is a good thing since its not an easy dish to find in the area. We've sampled several other selections from the Vietnamese menu and were satisfied through-and-through. Vietnamese Sandwiches in particular make for a great lunch. By far, our favorite aspect was the Vietnamese coffee, which is a bold yet sugary rocket ship of a drink (best served over ice) that makes the whole trip worth it. One thing that is a bit of a downer: we had over heard on several occasions that the kitchen is primarily manned by the head chef and little-to-no additional cooks. This often leads to a little extra waiting time on your meal.

This place is an excellent Vietnamese and Italian place as well as French! My family and I found this place by adventuring the area before a concert at the Barbara B. Mann Center. The food was excellent, my young son got spaghetti off the kids menu and loved it, I had the Saigon Platter which was awesome! Our waitress was very professional and patient. We are planning to go back just for the food, even if there isn't a concert!

Great place. Never crowded but it should be (tucked away a bit and doesn't look as "fine" from the street as it is. Great Pho & Vietnamese lineup, plus French. Friendly, good young waiter. Reasonable. Patio could use a dress-up, but at least They have one!

This is the place for Pho. Whenever I feel a cold coming on, I head over and order a bowl of Pho and add extra hot peppers. The broth is a magic potion. (I was told it takes a day to make). It truly makes me feel so much better. Have not really tried any of the other dishes, so my recommendation is limited.

I am blessed to travel to may different locations in my line of work. Mostly on the east coast but many times across the country. Pho and Vietnamese food are some of my favorite things and I always make sure to find a place wherever I go. I guess it could be safe to say I am somewhat of a critic and expert on the cuisine. When I went to the this location I was instantly critical at the authenticity because the decor inside was not typical of traditional Vietnam restaurant but I ordered summer rolls and Pho Soup. I was OVERWHELMED at how amazing this place was so much so that I continued to go there every day for the 3 days I was there. I cannot say enough about this place. It is TOPS in my book from NYC to Florida I have tried them all and this place is number 1!!!!!

We were in the area and looking for a place for lunch. We went into the Bell Tower Shops. Been to Bistro 41-okay, Blue Point Oyster bar-very good (read my review). We were headed to the Cantina Laredo when we saw the Saigon Paris Bistro. We immediately made the turn to Saigon. Got to sit outside (a plus). We were seated and asked for our drink order right away. I ordered the lemon grass chicken. My lunch partner ordered the chicken pho. Both were excellent! The lemon grass chicken was grilled perfectly, spring rolls were awesome, and the added fresh (Thai?) basil was a treat. Service was great, too. I will definitely be a repeat customer. I'm looking forward to trying other things on the menu.

This is a very unique place to eat. It is both French and Vietnamese the chef is Vietnamese and does a great job with both sides. It was Tuesday night and there were very people in the restaurant. If you like Brie you must try their baked Brie it was the best I have had.

Aside from the new wait staff member, everything was great~ really great. The curry is wonderful. The menu actually has too many choices. The portions are not too large so no environmentally angry packaging to hold your leftovers to boil in your car. The prices are great also. A new favorite!

It took foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr to get our food....approximately an hour and the restaurant was not even busy. The waitress was obviously embarrassed and did not know what to do regarding the wait. She told us the chef will only prepare one meal at a time. Whatever that means. I got "She-Crab" soup ... I could not eat it. It was not good. My dad and husband's food was ok but not worth the wait or the price. I will not go to this restaurant ever again.

First off let me start by saying I am such a Pho lover. I found this ancient Asian delight a few years back and now am hooked on the magic soup. I think there must be something put in the broth that makes you become addicted. LMAO. I heard of this place in Ft Myers called Saigon Paris bistro so decided to try it for lunch to have the Pho. Well, first off the service is terrible and slow. The restaurant was hardly busy and our server was so backed up he couldn't keep up with the minimal number of guests. Secondly, it took over an hour to get our lunch which at best was mediocre. There is no need to wait so long for the awesome soup Pho. Many excuses were made to cover the wait time and our waiter Only came to the table 3 times in the hour and a half we were there. I would only eat here as a back up if I could have the real thing somewhere better.

  • Bruce M.

The service is excellent and the menu extensive. The Pho is the best we have eaten since the Seattle noodle restaurants. The lemon grass chicken is excellent. The staff is alway friendly and eager to explain menu selections. The wait staff are very open to adjusting menu items. You will not be disappointed!

I visited Saigon Paris with my husband for a date night. This restaurant is hidden away in a strip mall and is definitely lacking in ambiance (decor is trying to be upscale but comes off as cheesy). Fortunately, the food makes up for it! We both chose Vietnamese cuisine - I had the seafood pho and my hubby had seafood in a clay pot (a lot of seafood, I know, but we were in Florida!). Both were absoutely delicious! I would love to go back and try every variety of pho that they serve! Service was friendly, albeit slow (we weren't in a hurry). I would definitely go back!

BETTER THAN EVER What a great place this is, and in hasn't been really "discovered" by many snowbirds yet. Example: Tuesday morning at 10:20 we showed up at Mimi's in Bell Tower Shops (coupon in hand) for a late breakfast. Many, many oldies were waiting outside and the greeter told us it would be an hour wait. No thanks. We went across the street to Saigon Paris Bistro which was not at all crowded and had a fabulous breakfast. And guess what? they have a 2 for 1 breakfast special every day from 9 to 11:30! No coupons, just a great deal. Aside from the very reasonable prices, the service and quality of meals here can't be beat. This is one of our favorite places for breakfast, lunch & dinner. The pho and Vietnamese sandwiches are especially good.

  • Melissa S.

I was really excited to try this place for the first time. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. Service was very, very slow. If this had been a chain I would have complained. We weren't greeted quickly, the drink order took a very long time to arrive, and the follow-up was slow as well. I had the crepes, which tasted as expected but the portions were small. There is a two-for-one deal for breakfast, which made it very affordable.

Food is good. Shrimp or chicken in curry coconut sauce. Seafood in a hot pot. Duck. Pho. All good. But service is sooooo slow. That's not an exaggeration. Really slooooow.

Went last night for dinner with another couple. 3 of us ordered pho - one ordered a French grouper dish. The food was all excellent. However, I couldn't bring myself to give more than 3 stars based on the fact that it took over 2 hours to get our food from the time we ordered. I wish I could say I was exaggerating. Waters refilled once during that 2 hour period. Despite the excellent food I'm a little nervous to return based on the experience with the service.

I went once, a few months ago, and enjoyed the meal I got. However, I went this morning, thinking they would be open for breakfast, and they weren't. During the off season (now til Sept said the sign), they serve breakfast from 9-11 and then lunch and dinner. I didn't catch the rest of the times, as it was only 10 after eight and it was silly to sit around for almost an hour before they opened. I'll go back again, during the day and try them out!

There is a Cape Coral Saigon Paris Bistro now!!! It is fabulous food. The vegetable spring rolls are the best ever. The PHO veggie second to none. They are at 1404 Del Prado Blvd towards the back of the Del Prado mall. Darling place. The lunch menu has nice variety and the dinner menu is great (you can order dinner all day). Your are missing out if you like Vietnamese fare and have not tried it.

    (5)
  • John N.

Worth the wait......I think. I have been here several times and know two facts: The food is excellent, and it will take forever to arrive. I assume it is due to the fact that it is authentic Vietnamese cuisine being made from scratch. Or perhaps there is only one chef in the kitchen preparing food for all patrons. Or perhaps both. So I come here knowing it is going to be a long night. And I have never been disappointed with my food. The Pho is the best you'll ever have, Lemongrass beef (or chicken), or any of the various Vietnamese samplers. My last experience here was this past week (weeknight) and it was a one hour ticket time before our food finally came. At that point, we decided it would be our last visit. Then I tasted the lemongrass beef platter with noodles and some of my wife's Vietnamese sampler special and changed my mind. But we both agreed - next time we come, we will make sure we are 1. Not hungry (but will most likely be by the time our food comes); and 2. No time constraints since it is an all evening affair. Food: 5 Stars Wait: 1 Star Total: 3 Stars

Saigon Paris is a French & Vietnamese fusion restaurant in a strip mall next to Bell Towers. The decor is confusing, as it has Roman/Greek columns inside the restaurant which neither reflect Vietnamese nor French architecture. The menu itself is split into two: a French menu and then a Vietnamese menu. Overall the food was just okay. For the prices, we expected much more. My husband ordered the duck breast in spicy sauce ($26), which was cooked well, but the sauce was lackluster. I ordered the spicy beef noodle soup, similar to pho. It was decent, but overpriced at $16. My mother in law ordered the seafood fried rice ($29). After waiting 25 minutes for our entrees, the server came over and informed us that they ran out of lobster for the seafood fried rice and asked if she would like extra shrimp or scallops to supplement the lack of lobster tail. My mother in law was disappointed--mainly because it took 25 minutes to inform us of this blunder in a dining room that had 4 other tables occupied. So she conceded to extra scallops. The server then brought out her seafood fried rice--with shrimp on it and ONE scallop. If you are going to disappoint your customer once with no lobster, and then again with denying the requested extra scallops, you will not maintain business. Especially when the description of the menu states "scallops" in the plural context--then only give one--and clearly not extra. This was a complete and total let down. Overall, we have been to much better Viet/French restaurants and will not return to this overpriced restaurant.

PHO heaven! Moved to ft Myers 3 months ago from NYC. Having access to all facets of culinary wonders, I was doubtful finding Vietnamese fare after trying PHO vin in Cape Coral. But this place nailed it!! The authenticity of the soup was fantastic. My wife enjoyed the seafood fried rice. The flavors blended along wonderfully. Long story short, I found my PHO!!!!

This place has great food but super slow service. Their interior could be a little spooky for us being the only table there. They have great quality food that could bring them lots and lots of customers, but I have to say their service is a little disappointing.
